Hotels in Chornobyl

In multi-day tours, our groups do not leave the Exclusion zone but stay overnight in the town of Chornobyl – a small truly Soviet town, the local administrative center, and the rotational settlement for almost 3000 employees of the Chornobyl zone.

There are three options for tourists where to stay overnight – two hotels and a hostel. The conveniences can be compared to those which are in 2* hotels, with hot water and Wi-Fi available. This experience can be considered as another part of the immersion in the era of the Soviet Union, with the possibility of an evening walk through the town of Chornobyl, as it also has a lot of things to explore.

So, in our multi-day "time travel", we are given an opportunity to stay in one of the following hotels:

Hotel Desiatka

This hotel is located in the very center of Chornobyl town, with its own bar and restaurant, where you will be served dinners and breakfasts. The hotel provides double rooms as well as a possibility for a single room (for an extra cost). The toilet and shower are public and will be shared with the tourist, who stay on the same floor, but in your room will always be: towels, toiletries, slippers, plasma TV, air conditioning or a fan, free Wi-Fi.

Hotel Prypiat

This hotel is also located in the center of the Chornobyl town, near the “Wormwood Star” memorial and Chornobyl Museum. The hotel provides you with double rooms, with the possibility of a single room, as well as a suit.

Each room has its own toilet and bathroom. The rooms are made in the soviet style – a carpet on the wall, a Soviet TV and radio. At the same time, there are always clean towels and liquid soap, but attention! No toiletries, so you would better have with you: shower gel, shampoo, slippers, etc.

Hostel Polissia

Another exciting place to stay in Chornobyl town for an overnight. The building from its very beginning functioned as a residential one, but with the start of the “New Safe Confinement” project, it was converted into a “Novarka” company hostel. Nowadays it welcomes tourists from all over the world. It is located not far from the city center, near the store and a local canteen for workers of the Exclusion zone. Nearby there is also a well-known monument “To those, who saved the world”, erected by the local firefighters in memory of the first responders to the nuclear accident, and a fire station, that is still operational.

Hostel rooms can accommodate up to 4 people. Shower and toilet are public and have to be shared between three rooms. However, free Wi-Fi and fresh towels are always provided. Don't forget toiletries and slippers to feel comfier, as the hostel doesn't provide any. There is no TV, so you will have more time to remember the past day as well as plan well for the next one.

Hotel Slavutych

Another exciting option for our tourists – hotel in the very center of Slavutych town, which was built after the accident as a new satellite town for the employees of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant. Basically, this town is a younger brother of Prypiat itself! By staying overnight in this hotel you'll have a unique opportunity to take a train which every day brings the workers of the Exclusion zone to their working places and back, to see the unique beauty of Polissia regions – rivers of Dnipro, and Prypiat, lakes, woods and maybe even see a moose standing close to the railroad!

The hotel provides you accommodations in single rooms, double rooms as well as the suit. In your room, you will always find towels, toiletries, slippers, as well as some options for making your stay comfier such as TV, small refrigerator, mini-safe and hairdryer.
