CHORNOBYL TOUR Information Centers

The unique CHORNOBYL TOUR Information Centers are always happy to welcome the visitors of the Exclusion Zone. These are the first such institutions in the Zone, aimed at providing tourists with all possible information and making visiting the Exclusion Zone as comfortable as possible. There are now 3 of them: 2 at the entrance to the Zone at Dytiatky checkpoint (we visit them in the morning and in the evening) and 1 inside the Exclusion Zone, near ChNPP, we will have the opportunity to get there during lunchtime.

Here you can find information materials in different languages, documentaries on the topic of the Chornobyl accident, the liquidation of its consequences, and its impact on the past and present. Also, we are glad to offer you a selection of fiction books on the Chornobyl topic, and even «Chornobyl fairy tale» for children. Real travelers can find maps of the Zone and Prypiat here.

You will also be delighted by delicious coffee, tea, and the opportunity to have a hot dog, croissant, or sandwich. It's always a good idea, especially after an early morning wake-up and a two-hour drive from Kyiv. Hunger is defeated? Then it’s time to think about the upcoming long day in the Zone. Everything you may need during the day can also be purchased here: water, raincoats, paper tissues or wet wipes, socks, or clothes (if you suddenly forgot about radiation safety regulations and came to the checkpoint in open clothes or with open ankles). And for more impressive photos you can buy respirators, gas masks, dustproof suits, or even Soviet rubber suits, the same as were used by liquidators 34 years ago, backpacks of the Soviet army, etc. Now, after you are fully equipped and ready for a long day in the Zone, you can think of pleasant memories. In the Information Centers, you will find souvenirs that will appeal to everybody –from just lovers of material memories to professional collectors: cups, magnets, pens, key chains, coins, even cans of air of Prypiat or Red Forest, and many, many other unique and authentic souvenirs. If you are a fan of postcrossing, or just like to surprise your friends, there is a great opportunity to send a postcard from Chornobyl! You just fill it out, write the address, and our staff will send it from the post office of Chornobyl town.
