Serhii Myrnyi is a well-known writer and screenwriter, professional ecologist, an expert on radiation disasters, and what is more important – a radiation reconnaissance officer in 1986. He received gratitude from the Kyiv military commander for his courage and heroism.

He is a specialist in physical chemistry and environmental science and policy. Serhii is giving speeches at many conferences in Europe, the USA, and Japan (including the University of Fukushima). He is the author of the research work “Chornobyl as an info trauma” and the initiator of a conference “Chornobyl and other: Taming of disasters”.

A documentary novel "Living Force" and a fiction novel "CHERNOBYL COMEDY" by Sergey Mirnyi were published and became bestsellers in Ukraine, Hungary, and Russia. Be sure, he knows everything about Chornobyl and radiation.

Oleksii Breus is a man who pressed the last button on the control panel of the 4th block of Chornobyl NPP in 1986 (he used to be an operator of the main control panel). He is one of those who stayed inside the destroyed block of the reactor after the explosion for almost 24 hours. That day Oleksii received a radiation dose of 120 rem (in the Soviet Union the allowed exposure to radiation of personnel of nuclear power stations was 5 rem per year).

He came to Chornobyl in 1982, after graduating from the nuclear department of Moscow Technical University of Bauman. His teachers were scientists and engineers, who created the Chornobyl NPP.

Nowadays, he is a journalist who is writing mostly about Chornobyl, an artist and one of the leaders of the “Strontium-90” art group.
