We invite you to explore the Mykilska drain system, which was built back in 1916 and is the oldest part of a more than 50-kilometer long draining system of Kyiv. We will visit the variety of breathtaking sites of the underground world:
- walk almost one kilometer under the ground!
- enjoy different types of tunnels
- move up and down from level to level – the tunnels are anything but boring!

- learn a lot about Kyiv subterranean world, urban exploration and its post-Soviet variety

Schedule
Duration of the tour: approximately 2 hours
Departure time: in the first half of the day, the exact time can be discussed during the booking. Please, note, this tour is not private, there will be other people in one group with you. Please, contact us and we will be happy to arrange the tour for you at the most convenient day and time possible.
We kindly ask you to be on time. In case of no-show on the day of the tour, the trip deposit would not be refundable.
Departure place: the meeting place is in the hall of the “Dnipro” metro station. Your guide will be waiting for you at the cash desk.
Transportation: If you would like to book our transfer to simplify your way to the meeting place please let us know – we will be glad to arrange a pick-up and drop-off service for you!
The final destination: the tour finishes at the “Dnipro” or “Druzhby Narodiv” metro station.
What to take
To ensure your trip is comfortable, we advise you to:
- put on a cap or something to cover your head
- put on comfortable clothes that you are not afraid to make a little dirty. No tuxedo and high heels! :)
- avoid taking massive backpacks with you (part of the route goes through the tunnels, which are narrow or/and have low-ceiling (1,6 m high))
Limitations
Legal issues
No weapons (even with a legal permit) are allowed on a tour.
Visitors under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed to visit the site.
Our guests shall not fail to comply with the guides’ instructions regarding safety rules.
In case of the occurrence of such a situation, the tour ends immediately. In case of the tour cancellation on the spot (i.e., at the entry point or under the ground) the tour cost is not refundable.
The tour is not recommended for:
- people suffering from claustrophobia;
- people suffering from low back pain or back problems;
- people who have excessive weight or heart diseases;
- people who cannot get into the usual manhole;
- people with limited mobility.
Age limit
